Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

 

As the AI Program Lead, you will play a key role in coordinating and supporting the delivery of Fortescue's AI portfolio. Working across multiple AI products and business domains, you will help ensure initiatives are planned, prioritised, tracked and delivered effectively.

 

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys project management, bringing structure to complex programs and working with diverse stakeholders to keep work moving forward. You will support governance activities, portfolio reporting, risk management and value tracking while helping product teams deliver outcomes aligned to Fortescue's business priorities.

 

 

You will work closely with product owners, finance partners, technology teams and business stakeholders to maintain delivery discipline, coordinate program activities and provide visibility of progress, risks and key milestones across the AI portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and maintain portfolio plans, schedules, milestones and delivery reporting across multiple AI initiatives
  • Support program governance activities, including preparing materials, tracking actions and following up on key outcomes
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate
  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to ensure priorities, timelines and deliverables remain aligned
  • Maintain portfolio dashboards and reporting to provide visibility of delivery performance and key milestones
  • Support the development and tracking of business cases, benefits and value outcomes for AI initiatives
  • Coordinate inputs from product teams, finance and business stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops and planning sessions to support effective collaboration across teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, reporting and delivery practices
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of AI-enabled products that support Fortescue's business priorities.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Experience in project management, PMO, project coordination or program support within a complex organisation
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Experience maintaining project plans, status reporting, risk registers and delivery documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting governance processes, project reviews or portfolio reporting activities
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure, discipline and follow-through to project delivery
  • Familiarity with digital, technology or AI-related projects will be highly regarded
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI or similar.
