Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Cloudbreak on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli people

 

Roster: 14D/14R FIFO - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

 

Cloudbreak OPF is seeking a Crane Operator to join the Structural Integrity team. Reporting to the Structural Integrity Supervisor, this role is responsible for safely operating a range of mobile and fixed lifting equipment to support inspection, maintenance and remediation activities across fixed plant infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure lifting operations are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Operate mobile and fixed cranes in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform lifting activities supporting structural integrity works
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
  • Develop and review lift plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with lifting standards and site procedures
  • Coordinate lifting activities with maintenance and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and lifting activities
  • Identify and report equipment defects and improvement opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • High Risk Work Licence - C6, C1 and/or CO (as applicable)
  • Demonstrated experience operating cranes in a mining environment
  • Experience working around fixed plant maintenance activities
  • Current HC or MC Driver's Licence desirable for operation of semi-trailers and floats
  • Sound understanding of lifting and rigging practices
  • Ability to interpret lift studies and lift plans
  • Strong commitment to safety and risk management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
