Location: Iron Bridge: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

 

Roster: 8D/6R ex Perth

 

At Iron Bridge, we're building the future of magnetite mining. As we continue ramping up towards our nameplate capacity and target production of 22 million tonnes per annum, we're seeking a motivated Shutdown Electrical Planner to join our team.

As the Shutdown Electrical Planner, you'll use your technical expertise and passion for maintenance excellence to develop and deliver safe, efficient, and effective shutdown plans that maximise equipment reliability and plant availability. Working closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external partners, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our shutdown activities are executed safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work to key work management KPIs for shutdown execution teams.
  • Collaborate across departments to gather equipment history, reliability data, and maintenance requirements.
  • Work with long-term and weekly planners to develop and initiate maintenance strategies within SAP.
  • Ensure all shutdown plans incorporate robust safety controls and comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate inputs from upstream stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure successful shutdown delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, cost optimisation, and work management excellence.
  • Support maintenance budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Identify innovative solutions that improve shutdown execution and equipment performance.
  • Contribute to Iron Bridge's journey towards achieving sustainable, world-class operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in shutdown or maintenance planning within mining, processing, heavy industry, or similar environments.
  • Trade qualification (Electrical preferred but not essential).
  • Working knowledge of SAP maintenance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning principles, reliability practices, and shutdown management.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience within Iron Ore or Magnetite Operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt, innovate, and thrive in a fast-paced operational environment is essential.
