Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7N14X ex Perth

Fortescue is currently recruiting an experienced Fixed Plant Electrician to join the Kings Valley OPF.

Key Responsibilities

• Scope continuous improvement opportunities.
• Raise notifications and work orders.
• Perform breakdown maintenance and fault finding on fixed plant.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on fixed plant.
• Complete modular and shutdown maintenance.
• Carry out statutory testing and inspections.

Qualifications and Experience

• Electrical trade qualification and current WA ‘A’ Class Electrical Workers Licence.
• High Voltage ticket with experience in HV switching.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Tradesperson or Electrical/Instrumentation Technician in a continuous operating plant environment, with maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with PLC systems, control communication systems and basic instrumentation.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Variable Speed Drives.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems, with SAP or other computer-based maintenance system experience desirable.
