Our Opportunity

Work Location:
Port Hedland – located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

 

Roster:
7 Days On / 7 Days Off – FIFO ex Perth or residentially based in Port Hedland.

 

We’re looking for a skilled Electrician with fire systems experience to join our Infrastructure Operations team in Port Hedland. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team supporting critical safety systems across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test and maintain fire panels, sprinkler systems and pump sets
  • Diagnose faults and service gaseous fire suppression systems
  • Carry out FIP programming and system configuration
  • Test and tag portable fire equipment
  • Maintain and test emergency lighting systems
  • Respond to fire system faults and breakdown call-outs
  • Install and commission fire systems across site
  • Perform electrical installations, inspections and fault finding on non-fire assets

Qualifications and Experience

  • “A” Grade Electrical Licence (desirable)
  • Open Cabling Licence
  • Current CPR & LVR certification
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of AS1851-2012 and AS2293 standards
  • Proven experience working with gaseous fire systems, sprinkler systems and foam suppression in an industrial or mining environment
