Work Location: Fortescue Centre - 256St Georges Tce, Perth
Roster: 5D2R 7.6 hours
We are seeking an experienced LME/SME Coordinator within the Support Mobile Equipment team, reporting to the Superintendent – LME & SME Strategy & Governance.
This Perth-based role is responsible for coordinating and optimising Light Mobile Equipment (LME) and Support Mobile Equipment (SME) lease and hire processes across all sites, ensuring standardisation, rationalisation, and operational efficiency.
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to a centralised and optimised LME/SME function, supporting operational performance, cost efficiency, and strategic initiatives such as decarbonisation and fleet optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement LME/SME lease and hire strategies across sites and vendors
- Ensure Standardisation principles are followed across sites and departments for LV/SME requests, asset swaps, renewals, and lifecycle management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall performance and drive continual improvement.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders, responding to a wide range of LME/SME-related queries
- Support internal stakeholder meetings (including sites, Decarbonisation, C&P, and Risk Committee) to drive alignment, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
- Work with Contacts and Procurement to support vendor relationships, including quarterly and ad-hoc meetings, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
- Maintain and administer internal systems and portals (e.g. hire portals, asset databases, archive systems), ensuring data integrity and usability
- Support lease and hire financial processes, including invoicing, cost assurance, expenditure tracking, and financial governance.
- Conduct ongoing audits to ensure accuracy and reliability of internal data and reporting
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in mobile asset management, planning, or fleet coordination (LME/SME preferred)
- Strong understanding of lease and hire processes, vendor management, performance and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to maintain governance processes and drive continual improvement
- High attention to detail, particularly in data management and financial validation
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across sites, functions, and vendors
- Proficiency in relevant systems (e.g. SAP or similar, asset management systems, internal portals)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume mailboxes in a fast-paced environment
