Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

The Principal Delivery Lead is responsible for driving execution across the Cyber portfolio. This role exists to strengthen delivery resilience, eliminate single points of failure, embed structured planning and execution discipline, and improve transparency across project progress, capacity, financials and cyber control implementation. In addition to hands-on delivery leadership, the role is accountable for quarterly planning, prioritisation, budget preparation, forecasting, business case development, and maintaining an accurate Cyber Risk Dashboard that reflects project status, financial performance and control uplift outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own and maintain the Cyber Risk Dashboard, providing a single source of truth for delivery performance, financials and control implementation outcomes.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and decision-ready, giving leadership clear visibility of portfolio health, risks and budget status.
  • Track and report on cyber control uplift and risk reduction, linking delivery activity to measurable security outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain clear reporting cadence across delivery progress, risks, issues, financials and control implementation.
  • Act as a key interface across Cyber, Finance, Enterprise Planning and technical teams to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Present clear insights, options, risks and trade-offs to stakeholders, supporting effective planning and investment decisions.
  • Build stakeholder confidence through transparent, concise and executive-ready communication and reporting.
  • Drive capability uplift and delivery maturity by improving planning discipline, governance, forecasting, tools and operational transparency.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Cyber Security, Business, Project Management or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant senior experience in program delivery, portfolio management, PMO leadership or complex technology/cyber project execution.
  • Proven hands-on delivery capability, actively contributing beyond governance and reporting functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities, dependencies and resource constraints.
  • Strong financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, variance management and investment planning (Anaplan preferred).
  • Experience establishing delivery governance, executive reporting, performance dashboards and portfolio visibility.
  • Proven ability in business case development and supporting technology or cyber investment decisions.
  • Practical experience in Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery models, including planning, prioritisation, tracking, capacity management and accountability.
