Our Opportunity

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal People.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

 

Reporting to the Iron Bridge Senior Project Engineer, this role plays a key part in supporting Iron Bridge Operations through the successful delivery of critical projects. The position is responsible for driving project execution, managing contractor engagement and performance, fostering strong stakeholder communication, and overseeing project budgets to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of brownfield and sustaining capital projects across site in collaboration with the Senior Project Engineer.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including scoping, design review, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Monitor project performance through documentation, cost tracking, schedules, risk management, and regular progress reporting.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in compliance with Fortescue standards, Australian regulations, and HSE requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years fixed plant or heavy industry experience in a project role
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including piping, pumps, conveyors, chutes, and structural steel.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Mines legislations and regulations
  • Knowledge of computer management systems, including SAP and MS Project
