Our Opportunity
Work Location: Cloudbreak - located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples
Roster: 7D/7R - FIFO ex Perth
Cloudbreak NPI is seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Technician with strong commercial experience to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across site facilities. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, technically competent and capable of working independently in a remote mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on commercial refrigeration systems including cool rooms, freezers and display units
- Install, commission and maintain air conditioning systems (split systems, package units and ducted systems)
- Perform detailed fault finding and troubleshooting on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance including cleaning condenser coils, evaporators and filters (clean bags)
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards and procedures
- Maintain accurate job documentation and complete reporting using Microsoft Office and SAP systems
- Coordinate with site stakeholders to prioritise and schedule maintenance activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain high housekeeping standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent)
- Extensive experience as a Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Mechanic
- Strong competency in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning fault finding
- Demonstrated experience in air conditioning installation and commercial refrigeration servicing
- ARCtick / Refrigerant Handling Licence (essential)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- White Card
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP
- Strong safety focus with excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously or within a team
