Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday - Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for a Resource Estimation Modelling Geologist to join our Perth-based team.
In this role, you'll deliver high-quality geological models that support resource estimation, mine planning and operational geology, ensuring our mining teams have the information they need to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality geological interpretations and resource models.
- Validate geological and assay data to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Deliver accurate, fit-for-purpose resource models within agreed timeframes.
- Collaborate with Mine Geology, Resource Definition and Mine Planning teams to support operational and strategic planning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical best practice.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and collaborative working environment aligned with Fortescue's Values.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Geology or a related discipline.
- Experience in geological modelling, resource estimation, mine geology or a similar technical geology role.
- Working knowledge of geological modelling and estimation software, with Vulcan experience highly regarded.
- Experience working with iron ore deposits (hematite preferred). Experience with magnetite or other bulk commodities will also be well regarded.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
