Work Location:  Perth, Western Australia.  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster:  Monday to Friday.

As the Senior Commercial Analyst, you'll provide the financial insights, market intelligence and commercial analysis that underpin strategic investment decisions across a diverse portfolio of aftermarket services and products.

Reporting to the Principal Commercial and Strategy – Aftermarket, you'll work closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate new opportunities, develop robust business cases and deliver evidence-based recommendations that influence the future direction of the business. From analysing market trends and pricing strategies to assessing commercial opportunities and supporting executive decision-making, you'll help transform ideas into commercially successful outcomes within one of Fortescue's fastest-growing business areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop financial models, commercial analysis and business cases to support strategic investment decisions across the Aftermarket business.
• Analyse market trends, customer opportunities, competitor activity and value pools to identify growth opportunities and strengthen commercial strategy.
• Deliver pricing, margin, revenue and cost analysis that supports commercial performance and value creation.
• Prepare executive reports, investment papers and governance materials that provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for decision-makers.
• Monitor opportunity pipelines, commercial performance and value capture, providing meaningful insights into business performance and future opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to evaluate opportunities, validate assumptions and support commercially sound outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis, financial analysis, corporate strategy, business analysis or a similar commercially focused role.
• Proven capability developing financial models, business cases, investment analysis and executive-level reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing pricing, margins, revenue, costs and market opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical business insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
