  • Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people. 

 

Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth – Full Time 

 

Eliwana’s Sustaining Capital Projects team is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Project Engineer to ensure safe and efficient delivery of on-site brownfields projects.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage small to mid-scale Electrical projects from concept through execution in accordance with the Fortescue Project Delivery framework.
  • Lead the development, review and coordination of Electrical designs, schematics, calculations and technical deliverables.
  • Assess constructability, identify risks and develop practical solutions to support safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare business cases and lead Electrical procurement, including specifications, cost considerations, technical evaluations and vendor engagement.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, resolving site issues and managing variations, TQs, RFIs and associated actions.
  • Coordinate and sign off Electrical testing, FATs, commissioning, plant ramp-up and project close-out activities.
  • Lead Electrical QA/QC and compliance activities while supporting maintenance strategies and effective stakeholder and contractor relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years' experience in the resources industry across process and non-process infrastructure assets. A background in projects and construction will be highly regarded.  
  • Demonstrated experience working with power systems, VSDs, protection relays, PLCs and various instrumentations (ideal). 
  • Proficient with Design software (i.e AutoCAD, DAD). 
  • Experience with commissioning, plant ramp-up and troubleshooting. 
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of SAP.
