Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

This is a great opportunity to join Fortescue at an exciting time of growth and innovation. As a Senior Maintenance Planner, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we plan and deliver maintenance across our operations, working with a supportive team and a wide range of stakeholders.

 

We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and making a real impact. You’ll have the chance to drive continuous improvement, influence maintenance strategies, and contribute to safe and efficient operations across our sites. The role includes monthly site travel, offering valuable connection to our operations and teams on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a diverse team of Maintenance Planners and Material Logistics Officers
  • Ensure compliance with Fortescue standards and statutory requirements, including integration within SAP
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and foster a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure master data is accurate and maintained in line with standards
  • Deliver clear and actionable reporting on maintenance performance to support continuous improvement
  • Partner with Long-Term Planners, Engineers, and Asset Management teams to implement maintenance strategies in SAP
  • Work closely with Reliability and Asset Management teams to drive defect elimination initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and support across planning and execution teams
  • Contribute to quarterly maintenance budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Identify and drive business improvement initiatives, delivering measurable outcomes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a Senior Maintenance Planner role, or substantial experience in maintenance planning
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, inclusion, and team engagement
  • Strong SAP capability
  • Knowledge of relevant safety legislation and regulations
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with budgeting and cost management
  • Understanding of work management principles
  • Maintenance or asset management qualifications (desirable)
