Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Planner – Fixed Plant Maintenance to join our high-performing Fixed Plant Maintenance team at Iron Bridge.Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will play a critical leadership role in driving best-practice maintenance planning across fixed plant assets, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance execution.This role is suited to a strong and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of maintenance strategies, SAP work management, and fixed plant reliability. You will be responsible for developing a high-performing planning team, strengthening planning discipline, and driving continuous improvement across the maintenance function.With Iron Bridge in its ramp-up phase, the successful candidate will have significant opportunity to influence how maintenance planning and work management practices develop into the future. Your contribution will directly support improved reliability, availability, and the operation’s progression towards nameplate production.A sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to maintenance planning, work management, standardisation, and the elimination of waste would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor maintenance planners, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Translate maintenance strategies into effective SAP plans, task lists, notifications, work orders and schedules.
• Partner with execution teams to ensure planned work is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Drive compliance with company standards, maintenance strategies, statutory obligations and legislation.
• Develop and monitor work management KPIs to improve planning quality, schedule compliance, reliability and execution efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Reliability, Operations and Maintenance teams to review and improve maintenance strategies.
• Ensure required resources, materials, services and specialist support are available for scheduled work.
• Identify opportunities to improve fixed plant reliability, availability, maintainability and asset performance.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles by reducing waste, standardising processes and promoting problem-solving.
• Lead initiatives that improve planning, reduce downtime and optimise maintenance performance.
• Build a capable, engaged and high-performing planning team through clear expectations, feedback and development.
• Support fit-for-purpose planning and maintenance processes through Iron Bridge’s ramp-up and future operating state.

Qualifications and Experience

• Senior maintenance planning or leadership experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or a similar environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing planning teams.
• Strong fixed plant maintenance knowledge, including maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance, reliability, shutdown planning and work management.
• Advanced SAP PM experience, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project; Power BI experience advantageous.
• Experience developing and monitoring maintenance KPIs, ensuring statutory compliance, safety and maintenance assurance.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, with a commitment to safety, people development, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
