Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 14D7R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Solomon Water Management Supervisor within the Mine Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient daily refueling of Water Management and site infrastructure assets across the Solomon operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily refuelling of Water Management and site infrastructure assets across the Solomon operation.
- Operate refuelling vehicles, equipment and fuel management systems safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Identify and report any defects, hazards or maintenance issues observed during refueling activities.
- Maintain service vehicles, refuelling equipment and tools in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Record fuel usage and complete required documentation accurately.
- Safely operate vehicles within active mining areas, including Autonomous Operating Zones (AOZ), following all Fortescue safety, environmental and operational standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current HR Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience in refuelling, mine services, transport or a similar operational role is desirable.
- Experience using fuel management systems, SAP and BMS are desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting roster and operational requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage daily priorities and possess strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
