Our Opportunity

Work location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

 

Roster: 8/6 FIFO from Perth

 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Superintendent is responsible for leading and mentoring a team to safely deliver a diverse portfolio of capital projects across Iron Bridge Operations.

 

This includes projects at the West Canning Basin, Concentrate Handling Facility, Ore Processing Facility, and Non-Process Infrastructure. The role encompasses full accountability for the capital project management lifecycle—from initiation and portfolio management through to project engineering, design, and execution with project values ranging from approximately $0.1M to $100M AUD and covering all engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Capital Project Management framework across Iron Bridge Operations.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Project Engineers, Execution Specialists, Project control and Planners
  • Safely and effectively deliver a portfolio of capital projects from initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with Iron Bridge’s strategic goals.
  • Support operational and external departments in managing capital works, fostering strong stakeholder engagement across all levels
  • Oversee the identification, prioritisation, and governance of the capital portfolio, establishing systems for effective control, reporting, and operational readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven leadership experience managing multidiscipline teams within the mining industry.
  • Strong safety leadership with a demonstrated commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Solid experience in managing budgets and delivering projects within financial targets.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills with a collaborative leadership approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking to drive innovative project outcomes.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
