Trainer & Assessor - Drill & Blast

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge mine is located on the traditional lands of Nyamal peoples.

Roster: 4D3R, 4D3R, 8D6R ex Perth

Fortescue is seeking a dynamic and passionate Trainer and Assessor with a strong understanding of mining operations to join our Iron Bridge Drill and Blast training Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery Drill and Blast Operations Training and Assessing
• Delivery of specific Training and assessments including Verification of Competency Assessments
• Facilitation of classroom-based Training and Inductions
• Administrative and scheduling duties as required
•  

Qualifications and Experience

• Current Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
• Previous comparable equipment experience
• Drill and Blast experience including Shotfiring
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Drill and Blast practices and technical systems with the ability to train content in a professional manner
• Autonomous Drilling System experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experienced Operator on the following equipment is essential
• Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• SuccessFactors experience highly regarded
