Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth, Kenwick Distribution Centre, located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people.

Roster: Monday - Friday

 

Become part of Fortescue’s dynamic Warehousing and Logistics team and help power the flow of materials that support our operations. This hands-on role centres on forklift operations and freight handling, where your commitment to safety, efficiency, and dangerous goods compliance will play an important part in keeping our sites running smoothly. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts (up to 16T) to support the efficient movement of freight and materials across site.

  • Secure loads using chains, straps and dunnage to meet transport compliance and safety standards.

  • Coordinate and process outgoing freight, ensuring accurate manifests, documentation and system updates.

  • Handle and store dangerous goods in line with regulatory requirements and Fortescue safety standards.

  • Contribute to a strong safety culture through equipment pre-starts, accurate receipting and effective teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High Risk Forklift Licence with experience operating forklifts up to 16T.

  • Experience manifesting freight and completing transport documentation.

  • Strong knowledge of load restraint practices, including chains and straps.

  • Understanding of dangerous goods handling, including documentation and placarding requirements.

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
